Richard Marx Albany Concert reviews
The Beatles Started it and Sting Finished it.
Last night, I was privileged to witness a concert event so remarkable that nothing else compares to it. It was rock and roll, jazz, classical, world beat, and other elements executed with the panache and grace of a man called Richard Marx. Richard Marx is clearly on top of his game and we are blessed to see him there. Rarely does a concert event come along that is a must-see. Richard Marx did not talk much, but the ideas he did share were thoughtful and deep. Names defy what the audience heard. I have heard symphony orchestras attempt a hard rock beat before, but never have I bore witness to one that actually owned that bitch. When the Beatles came out with the Sargent Pepper album, the world took note that rock and roll had been married to a symphony orchestra. He wistfully introduced "I hope the Russians Love Their Children Too," by noting how it is a shame that our current ideological enemies do not feel the same way as the Russians, and then launched into the song in a way that visibly moved the audience.
